Isherwood Fine Art specialises in Old Master, British and European paintings and sculpture from the 16th to 19th century, with a particular emphasis on period portraiture. We also offer a selection of animal paintings from the 17th, 18th and 19th century and bronze figures from the 19th and early 20th century, primarily from the French animalier school.

Nicola Isherwood founded the business in 2003 and over the last 20 years has built an international following, selectively sourcing works of art for their quality, visual appeal and interest of the artist and subject.  Research is undertaken on every piece and condition is carefully assessed, working with leading British experts in painting and frame conservation and restoration.

Nicola has rediscovered works by artists such as Mary Beale, John Hayls, Peter Lely, Godfrey Kneller, Michael Dahl, John Vanderbank, Thomas Hudson, George Romney and Nicolaes Maes.

Isherwood Fine Art is currently a member of the British Antique Dealer's Association (BADA), the Association of Art and Antiques Dealers (LAPADA) and the International Confederation of Art and Antiques Dealers (CINOA).

All works of art can be viewed by appointment, either in London or Bath.
